Gain Notes for Revolution 482 JEM-X1: A quite normal revolution with fine gain fitting. All the data from this revolution should be useable. The Xe line analysis demonstrates that the gain correction has performed well, to within about 1% of the ideal. As always it is recommended that users avoid the first few science windows for applications requiring the very best spectral/energy information since this is where the unit is settling down after the switch on. CAO 22/1/2008 JEM-X2: This unit was activated for the first time after a very long dormant period in which the entire unit was shutdown to save telemetry. It was reactivated in preparation for the Crab calibration in revolution 483. This unit was being prepared for various calibration and experimental activities for most of this revolution, including uploading old onboard software, which took most of the revolution. During the first 2/3 of the revolution, there was no useable science data and no useable gain history. Data produced in the last 1/3 of the revolution will however, also give strange results due to the old tables, rejection criteria etc. uploaded to the unit. DO NOT USE THIS DATA FOR SCIENTIFIC PURPOSES!!!! Anyone wishing to use this data for instrument calibration purposes should be sure to download the latest IC files for the JEM-X2 instrument when using OSA 6.0. This revolution has now officially been flagged a BTI for this instrument, i.e. period IJD= 2457.90 to 2460.80. CAO 10/10/2006 JEM-X2: New Xe line analysis added after creation of new IMOD epochs 12 and 13 for JEM-X2. The IC gain history table was also updated to reflect these new channels and this lifted the average Xe line position from about 28.6 keV to 29.6 keV. CAO 19/10/2007
