Gain Notes for Revolution 403 JEM-X1: An ordinary revolution with fine gain smoothing. All the data from this revolution should be useable. No unexpected switch-offs and no telemetry gaps. JEM-X2: This revolution proceeded as planned and the correct software was finally used by ISDC. The result: fine gain history and gain smoothing. All of the data from this revolution should be useable as is. There are signs of the grey filtering used on this unit to conserve telemetry (small regular breaks in the gain history), but this in no way affects the gain smoothing or the energy correction of the science data. A large glitch is visible on source 2 (yellow pink). CAO 6/02/2006 JEM-X2: The new Xe peak analysis was added after determination of new improved calibration reference channels for JEM-X2 IMOD epochs 12 and 13 (revs 311 to 510 and 511 onward, respectively). This brings the Xe level closer to the 29.6 keV ideal value. However, there is so little data to analyse that no great importance can be attached to this analysis or to the average position of the Xe line since a whole revolution Xe evolution is not possible.
