Gain Notes for Revolution 246 JEM-X1: A quite normal revolution with fine gain smoothing. All data from this revolution should be useable. The first three points of each data set are the partial switch-on with the High Voltage 3 steps below its nominal value. The average Xe position is 29.3 keV and lies somewhat below the ideal value of 29.6 keV, but this is almost by design, since revolution 246 lies at the very beginning of calibration epoch 10. As gain increases with additional use of the unit, revolutions at the beginning of an epoch tend to have Xe lines just below 29.6 keV and those at the ends of an epoch have positions above 29.6 keV. However, these small differences in Xe position found for the revolution are well within the noise of the calibration data, and signify that the gain correction has functioned correctly during the entire revolution, with the possible exception of the partial HV switch-on right at the beginning of the revolution.
