Gain Notes for Revolution 163 JEM-X2: A quite normal revolution with fine gain fitting. All the data from this revolution should be useable. First 2 points on each curve are the partial switch on of the instrument with HV set 3 steps below its nominal value. There is a small switch off period towards the end of the revolution, but this is well fitted and should have no effect on the gain correction. The rapid decay seen after the re-activation of the unit is due to charge redistribution on the microstrip plate. From End-of-Revolution report: b) 2004-02-15T07:19: JEM-X 2 went into safe mode due to a software trigger. Five minutes later a second peak broke the threshold level of IREM and SPACON decided to leave JEM-X 2 in this state until activity goes down. At 09:08z JEM-X was back to nominal operation. 2004-0215T11:18: JEM-X 2 went again into safe mode and it was then decided to leave it in stand-by mode until the perigee. CAO 10/01/2006
