> hellohi everyone! Okay, I'm afraid we will have to be brief: shall we start
> with subjects for the Valencia agenda?END
<jerome> Y
<silvia> Y
<peter> Y
<smaisala> y
> Suggestions then: of course we should each give a status of our own components
<silvia> Yesterday I told with our secretary to book the meeting room om 31st
from 9:00 to 18:00/19:00 and on 1st from 09:00 to 12:00/13:00 END
> and have a general overview of where we are in the following categories:
> gain/position corrections; deadtime; binning; imaging; background; source
> extraction.
> NJW should tell us about how far we are with IMOD
> JC could tell us about the dead anode problem and his problems with it
> Silvia should say something about scripts
> We should quickly go over ADD update plans, AIlist
> All astronomers should present their science results (if any!): PK, NJW, SL
> Any other suggestions? END
> Thanks for booking the meeting room Silvia. END
<jerome> Yes, I will give a presentation on what I have done for SPAG.
<peter> I think we should also discuss the 'roadmap' for the coming months.
<jerome> Status for dead anodes is unchanged since last meeting in Copenhagen.
<jerome> END
<peter> What are tools we will develop, which dates do we target, etc? END
<silvia> You welcome, I jus want to confirm with the booking that we will
finish around noon the second day !END
<njw> Caveats for the coming OSA release END
> That'll be a long list NJW! END
> Should Peter say something about data rights and how they're enforced? END
<peter> W.r.t OSA relase - it will be out (or in packaging) when we have our
meeting. END
<peter> I can say something about datarights if you want, but there are no
real news. END
<njw> No further documentation can be added ?? END
> Okay, any more agenda suggestions? END
<silvia> I will need only few minutes (10 minutes) for the scripts. Only minor
changes have been performed since our last SDAST Meeting. END
<silvia> N
> Who shall make the agenda? END
<peter> Shall I say that we all trust your well proven capabilities, or would
you like to chuck this off to someone else? END
> How's the weather in Helsinki , Sami? END
> I'll do the agenda tomorrow morning. END
<smaisala> We have beautiful day here. Sun is shining and snow and ice is
melting! END
<silvia> Perfect, Carol Anne ! END
> That's great, we've got sunshine too!.Okay next on today's agenda: ISSW
status.
> I
> 'm just in the process of delivering the super new shiny j_dead_time_calc
> version 3.0. I won't say it's the last word in JEM-X dead time calculation,
> but something quite close. Next up is j_cor_gain, which will get 5 new
> keywords in SPAG to do normalisation to the Xe results, and a SPAG table
> that contains real numbers! How long does this component checking take, Peter,
> it seems to have been grinding away for hours? Also how what's the status on
> the binnning components? END
<peter> The component checking can take long as each time a full ISDC system is
 set up and compiled first.
<peter> Our QA people think that if one spends weeks updating software a few
hours to check it is doing the right thing are acceptable. END
> I forgot to say I'll be sending round dead time results tomorrow for you all
> to see. END
*** larsson (~larsson@tenma.dsri.dk) has joined channel #jemxadr
<larsson> Hi, did I miss all the fun?? END
> No, the fun's only just beginning......END
<peter> Well, yes we were discussing how many of our tools you could maintain
from now on as well :-) END
<larsson> Thanks Peter, I dont have to count too far to
<larsson> answer that one.. END
> Peter, we're waiting to hear you ISSW status. END
<larsson> Status is that I just finnished my teaching and is going to get to
that
<larsson> in the afternoon. END
> What about you Sami - how's the background handling coming along? END
<smaisala> Background handling is a task with no ending...
> It has much in common with gain correction then. END
<peter> Not worse than debugging software, believe me ...
<jerome> Or understanding them...
<peter> OK, we will have the first meeting of the Anonymous ISSW writers Monday,
 March 31 evening :-) END
<peter> Are there any more specifics from you Sami?
> Okay Silvia: how's things with scripts? END
<silvia> I am just re-delivering the new version 3.3.1
<silvia> The delivery from yesterday has not been accepted due to differences
in j_cor_gain log messages
<peter> A difference of 1 OBT unit in the reported OBT of the first usable time.
<silvia> in OBT of 1 (=2^-20 sec!) I am just wainting for the compilation
checking again ! END
<peter> I don't understand yet why this even can happen but will check once I
find the time. END
<peter> Right now there are many deliveries needing checking ... END
<silvia> Thanks Peter ! I am sure that the same j_cor_gain version and the
same GAIn-CAL are used in my unit test and in the compilation checking ! END
<silvia> Any question on the scripts ? END
> Not from me. END
> If there are no more ISSW status issues, could NJW say, sorry type, a few
<silvia> Peter - the compilation failed again due to the same reason, my new
re-delivery is again in "fellow" ! END
> words about the status of IMOD group? END
<silvia> pardon, has failed ! END
<peter> Did you take the option "differences expected?" END
<silvia> Yes, I did ! END
> This strange OBT thing sounds a bit odd. Should I look in j_cor_gain for
<njw> Carl's SPAG table is now included; CAO's DEAD-MOD is there; New DPOS is
there,
> the problem PEter? END
> SPAG is going to need another update next week, when I've worked out the
> keywords for the Xe normalisation. END
<njw> The most important missing item is update of QEFF (and ARF table in
response
<njw> matrix) END
<peter> To CAO: don't bother right now, this can wait.
<silvia> to CAO: Yes, I completaly agree with Peter. END
<peter> To SMN: please just call up your delivery note again and this time
press deliver without doing a compilation check.
<peter> But make sure you mark (again) "differences expected". END
<peter> Sorry for interrupting you Niels Jrgen. END
<silvia> OK, Peter ! END
> Good news: j_dead_time-calc 3.0 is delivered and accepted: I can move on to
<njw> My message is out, I think END
> j_cor_gain with a clear conscience.
> To NJW: do I sense a feeling that we're slowly getting into some kind of good
> shape with IMOD? END
<silvia> NJW: when will the QEFF (and ARF table) be updated ? And sorry for
interrupting you ! END
<njw> Y
<njw> I need this image update thing (get rid of flower pattern) out of the way
<njw> first. Then I'll look at spectral fitting. If I'm lucky this week-end END
<silvia> That's sounds good Niels Joergen ! END
> That completes the formal agenda for today, I think. I sthere any other
business
<silvia> One last request
> because it would be nice to get this meeting over with ASAP END
<silvia> Our secretary needs the expiry date of your credit cards for the hotel,
shes has only the one of Carol Anne and Stefan. Could you please send to her
