> Hello Guys! Also those from The Frozen North! END
<peter> Good Morning Carol Anne. Silvia is also here with me and just getting
set up. END
> Hi Silvia! How do you like ISDC - it's quite picturesque isn't it? END
*** larsson (~larsson@tenma.dsri.dk) has joined channel #jemxadr
<smaisala> Hi All END
<larsson> "Morning". END
> Hi Stefan - looks like we'll have a full complement of participants today -
> I'll just go and shake NJW. END
*** njw (~njw@uhuru.dsri.dk) has joined channel #jemxadr
<peter> Silvia's setup is not yet working - one minute please
<njw> Hi, sorry, I was caught up in some other ISSW business. END
*** Silvia (~smartine@isdcul6.unige.ch) has joined channel #jemxadr
<peter> OK, now we've got it all working.
<Silvia> Good morning, everyone !
> Super! Now we're ALL here. END
> Hi Silvia - it's good to have you with us. END
> Okay, I didn't receive any suggestions for agenda items, so we'll start
> with my suggested item 1) ADD changes:
> I'm making a list of changes that are being made (typos, missed input
> files etc.) and also of changes that have to be done. Naturally I'm more
> or less assuming the CCB will approve these changes because they don't
> change the ISSW. Is this okay Peter? END
<peter> Fine with me. END
> Okay, in that case I'll send lists of changes that have to be made to
> each of you: Sami your j_interactive_bkg needs alot of updating, but I
> think you already know this. END
<smaisala> Yes I know ;-) END
> I suggest you all get on to these things BEFORE March, because it always
> takes much longer than expected to do the corrections, and it takes about
> a week for me to do the TeXing checking all the cross-references etc. END
> That's my 5 penn`orth. Any comments? END
<njw> I'll make an effort to do it soon END
> We need a nice bit on spectral data formats etc. and XSPEC from you NJW to
> go in the DD section. END
<njw> I'm aware of that END
> Okay, then if there are no more comments: point 2) Marc's new JMX1-SRCL-LCR,
	JMX1-SRCL-LCR-IDX templates
> Has someone further down the pipeline than me checked and approved these?
> END
<peter> Just one question regarding the ADD Carol Anne:
<peter> IF you send lists of changes now - shall people already upload their
changes into your CVS system, before the formal review? END
<peter> Regarding the SRCL-LCR, I at least have not really reviewed them yet.
Stefan? END
<larsson> I have some comments.
<larsson> I might like to change a few things. It is partly a ballance between
<larsson> "Integral" standard, OGIP standard and what I like to be in there.
<larsson> I'll better send my thoughts to all of you by mail for comments on
	comments. END
> I'll put an AI on you Stefan to circulate an email END
<larsson> OK. END
<peter> It would be good to have that rather soon, because it will also affect
my work on j_bin_***_lc executables - they also need matching templates. END
<larsson> I'll do it by Monday (latest). END
> Of course, I expect all concerned to read the email and respond to it - but
> I won
> t put AIs on that. Any more on this subject? END
<peter> Not from me. END
<larsson> No. END
<njw> N
<smaisala> N
> Okay, let's take point 4) next: SVT-E and its aftermath - over to you Peter.
END
<peter> You mean the Reference Orbit Test, right?
> Right, and what about the rest? END
<peter> First of all, as you already know, things went quite smoothly and we
are all happy about this.
<peter> ISDC now plans to have another round of the so-called "Dataflow Test"
for ISDC V1.
<peter> This means, all outputs - produced data, log files etc of the V1 system
are to be checked systematically and any problems found should lead to SPRs. END
<peter> While I have the main responsibility, you all are invited to help in the
search for remaining problems. I will forward a mail from Mathias which spells
out the location of data, log files, ...
<njw> When will this happen ? END
<peter> I have the remainder of this week and the next one, to do the job.
<peter> Next week, I'll be all week at ESTEC, but the data has been brought on
CD-ROM to our laptop there, which has IOSM, fv, ... running so I should be able
to do some of it there. END
> That's not long at all - I suggest we each take responsiblity for a piece of
> the output and check it over - I'll take calibration spectra and fitting
> results: who wants to check the status table, etc.? END
<peter> Volunteers do no seem to jump up too rapidly - except for you, naturally
 :-).
<peter> It would be nice, if all of you could look at some data. I'll send
around some hints on what one should look for and will take some look at
everything myself. So what about you others? END
> I think Peter is probably best for checking the OBTs that come out of
> DataPreparation because that's done by ISDC, but we need some one to check
<njw> You can give me a portion, I'm not sure which END
<larsson> It would be most natural for me to look at some of thae
<larsson> data I use as input to my programs. END
> J-verify alerts; the status table; corrected positions ; corrected energies
> adc calibration alerts (if any); created gtis. That's about all.
> Which data would you like to look at Stefan? What do you use most heavily
> of the list I've mentioned? END
<peter> Wait: corrected positions and energies are NOT part of V1.
<peter> My guess is Stefan would be most interested in checking FULL-RAW and
REST-RAW data.
> They are according to The Figure: so they're V2 now - that makes things
> easier. END
<larsson> OK Peter. I'll take those then (I am not sure whats v1 products). END
<peter> While, in principle, the RAW data has been checked already we have seen
for the OMC that sometimes subtle problems appear much after a parser has been
labeled "fine", so we must recheck them. END
> Is j_dead_time still in V2? END
<peter> Ts, ts, ts :-) V1 includes PreProcessing and Data Preparation for
science data and all the Automatic Calibration Analysis in the Rev. File
Pipeline.
<peter> j_dead_time_calc is V2. END
> Okay, I'll change that boundary in the ADD. END
> So who will check the RAW data? END
> Peter: what about j_gti, still in v1? end
<larsson> I'll do the FULL-RAW and REST-RAW as Peter suggested. END
<peter> V1 = RAW+PRP, everything else is V2 or V3. END
<peter> Oops Stefan, I've just remembered that they left JEM-X in NON-IMAGING
mode (SPTI and SPEC) for all the R.O.T ...
<peter> But you could still take a look and see if you spot anything you
consider incorrect. END
<peter> In general, this is not supposed to take days of your time. By having
more people check the things, the chances increase that some small detail, like
a keyword that was not set, is found. END
> So who's going to check the packet data? END
<peter> I'll do it, I guess. Otherwise it would be mainly you having the
 background knowledge.
<peter> On the other hand - if someone who does not 'know' already what to
expect looks at these things, that might unearth a problem we are all blind to
now. END
> I agree: Sami, I'm sure you're not so busy next week...... END
<smaisala> I hope so... END
> Good, that's an AI on me to check FRSS data and associated data; an AI on
> Stefan to check all the -RAW data; AI on Sami to check that packet data;
> Peter to look at OBTs; that leaves NJW with grey filter, dummy events and
> status table. What about it NJW? END
<njw> Alright, I'll do that END
<peter> NOTE: I have the informal science meeting at 11:30, and today, I chair,
so I should be on time ... END
> Next AI list:
> Basically, we've all got to read and comment Peter's scripts, and I've got
> to install them: are those scripts delivered now Peter? END
<peter> Yes, though the next update (as always) won't be too far from now. END
<peter> Sorry, I must leave now - maybe we should have our chats at 10:00 Global

<njw> Not right now END
<njw> Should we indeed change the chat time to 10:00 ? END
<larsson> 10.00 is fine even for me. END
> Yes, that could be a good idea. Stefan and sami? END
<smaisala> It's OK END
<njw> That's settled then END
> Chat with you all 10.00 next Thursday. Have a good weekend. END
