INTEGRAL IBIS exposure map

This image in galactic coordinates shows the IBIS exposure map considering all executed observations from revolution 11 (November 15, 2002) to revolution 78 (June 6, 2003). Clearly visible is a band along the Galactic Plane reflecting the Galactic Plane Scans and the enhanced exposure of the Galactic Center due to the Galactic Center Deep Exposure. The map was shown during the INTEGRAL Mission Performance Verification Review, which took place in the period from May 5 to May 20. The Review culminated in two days of presentations (May 19 & 20) from the different instrument teams and the three ground segment sites. The Review was completed successfully with the conclusion that the INTEGRAL Mission is in a good status.
