From e-mail sent to isoc_gs_cr@rssd.esa.int on 28 Feb 2006: The OMC Main Catalogue V0005 is ready for delivery: - Scope of the delivery: OMC Catalogue Main File (OMC_CAT_V0005.ASCII) - Version number: V0005 - This delivery replaces version: V0004 - This delivery includes the OMC Catalogue extension file up to the date: 040318 - Changes: See attached file ChangeLog.txt - Dependencies: + OMCPS 3.7: File names.prm in OMCPS package must be updated to take into account the new catalogue names OMC_CAT_V0005.ASCII and OMC_CAT_V0005_ext.ASCII. + OMC Catalogue extension file (OMC_CAT_V0005_ext.ASCII): Following instructions in ISOC-OMC ICD, ISOC must remove those sources with R8 <= 040318 from OMC_CAT_V0004_ext.ASCII. The resulting catalogue must be renamed to OMC_CAT_V0005_ext.ASCII, to be in-line with the OMC Catalogue Main File. Please, note that as long as we know, the old OMC Catalogue extension file (OMC_CAT_V0004_ext.ASCII) has not any active source (R7=1), i.e. all sources are already removed. This means that the new OMC_CAT_V0005_ext.ASCII file will be exactly the same as the old OMC_CAT_V0004_ext.ASCII. - Location of delivery: The OMC Catalogue Main File OMC_CAT_V0005.ASCII can be downloaded from: ftp://ftp.laeff.esa.es/pub/integral/catalogue/v0005/ There you will find the catalogue compressed with gzip (OMC_CAT_V0005.ASCII.gz). Please let us know the date/revolution in which OMC_CAT_V0005.ASCII and OMC_CAT_V0005_ext.ASCII start to be operational. We would be pleased if you sent to us the new generated OMC Extension Catalogue OMC_CAT_V0005_ext.ASCII. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any problem. Best regards, Albert Domingo for the OMC Team. -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note my new e-mail: albert@laeff.inta.es ====================================================================== Albert Domingo Garau | e-mail: albert@laeff.inta.es Laboratorio de Astrofísica Espacial | http://www.laeff.inta.es y Física Fundamental -INTA- | Tel: (34) 91 813 12 66 Apartado 50727, 28080 Madrid, España. | Fax: (34) 91 813 11 60 ====================================================================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------ OMC Input Catalogue Version V0005 19/02/2006 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [19/02/2006] - Included the INTEGRAL Reference Catalogue (HEC) (v.24). Priority 1 has been assigned to HEC sources with R10<190 and priority 2 to HEC sources with R10>190. - New priorities assigned (see README file). ------------------------------------------------------------------------ OMC Input Catalogue Version V0004 20/04/2005 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [08/02/2005] - Included the INTEGRAL Reference Catalogue (HEC) (v.18). Priority 1 has been assigned to all HEC sources. - Included the OMC Extended Catalogue Version 0003 up to the "Incorporation date = 040318" (field R8 of the Extended Catalogue). Included also the sources present in the list of INTEGRAL sources provided by Jerome Rodriguez up to the "Incorporation date = 050208". - Included all the new sources from INTEGRAL AO-3. All these sources have been assigned to priority 1. - Included all the sources from the Catalog of Cataclysmic Variables (Downes, 2001). The same priority as optical sources have been assigned. - Included 732 sources as classical T-Tauri candidates. Priority 3 has been assigned to these objects. - Included 35101 sources as cool dwarfs of G-K-M spectral type candidates. Priority 4 has been assigned to these objects. - Certain fields (around Sagitarius and Vela) have been treated in order to avoid overlapping of sources. Faint sources of low priority have been removed (i.e. R16 in blank) in the following two regions: 270.00 < RA < 271.40 & -30.40 < DEC < -29.60 130.60 < RA < 130.70 & -47.23 < DEC < -47.16 - Faint photometric standard stars (368 stars from the compilation of Landolt, 1992) are no longer observed by OMC (i.e. R15 in blank). One Landolt star is kept as candidate to cool dwarf of G-K-M spectral type. - An error in C5 field has been fixed (hyphens have been removed). - An error in C4 field has been fixed (string "0" now is a blank). - IRAS source name (C14 in V0003) has disappeared. Now C14 stores the INTEGRAL source name (C3 in V0003), without the acronym 'IGR'. - The SOURCE_ID from HEC has been included in C16 field. - C3 now is the 2MASS Unique source identifier from UCAC2 (Zacharias, 2004). - New priorities assigned (see README file). - Sources which are duplicated in the sense of the same identification in SIMBAD database have lost their priority except those with a discrepancy in coordinates higher than 18 arcsec. This results in 8406 sources that have lost their priority. - Field C20 has been updated using SIMBAD database. After the upgrade, 28550 sources have a blank in C20 (in v0003 there were 431137 sources with a blank in this field). ------------------------------------------------------------------------ OMC Input Catalogue Version V0003 21/01/2004 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [21/01/2004] - Included new sources from AO-2. All these sources have been assigned to priority 1. - Duplication of the AO-2 sources with those already present in our catalogue has been avoided. To this end, the cross-indentifications from SIMBAD have been used. [31/10/2003] - Included the INTEGRAL Reference Catalogue (HEC) (A&A 411, L59-L62 (2003)). Priority 1 has been assigned to all HEC sources. - Included the OMC Extended Catalogue Version 0002 up to the "Incorporation date = 031017" (field R8 of the Extended Catalogue). - Update of the OMC data according to information in HEC (object type and astrometric data) and SIMBAD (object type, identifiers and photometric data). - Duplication of the HEC sources with those already present in our catalogue has been avoided. To this end, the cross-indentifications from SIMBAD have been used. - Now C17 field is the OMC Identifier in the OMC Extended Catalogue. A new Identifier has been assigned to all sources coming from the OMC Extended Catalogue following the general procedure (region number + a running number within this region). ------------------------------------------------------------------------ OMC Input Catalogue Version V0002 07/10/2002 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ - New selection of astrometric and photometric reference stars. Selection criteria were updated according to OMC performances before launch (Science Performance Report 4.0, Mar 02). Data from Tycho-2 were used in the new selection. - Included the ROSAT All-Sky Survey Faint Source Catalogue (RASS-FSC). - Dummy values were introduced in some empty fields. - OMC identifiers were re-assigned. - Now field R10 (Source extent) is not the physical extension but the minimum extension to download from OMC. It includes also the source positional error if relevant. - V0002 Catalogue is completely in-line with OMCPS 3.1. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ OMC Input Catalogue Version V0001 20/04/2001 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ - First official release of the OMC Input Catalogue
