Abstract
In order to understand the physical origin of strong magnetic field of neutron stars, we propose to observe
three binary pulsars, 1E1145.1-6164, 4U 1145-619, and GX 301-2, in search for or confirmation of electron
cyclotron resonance effects. Furthermore, to understand the physics of cyclotron higher harmonics, we
propose to observe Her X-1 and Cen X-3. Her X-1 is to be observed with a staring mode for 80 ksec, while the
remaining four pulsars are to be observed simultaneously for 200 ksec under a 5X5 dithering mode.
