Picture of the MonthApril 2003INTEGRAL observations of GRS 1915+105 The source GRS 1915+105 was observed in March 6-7 as part of a on-going monitoring campaign (PI: Hannikainen). GRS 1915+105 is one of the galactic sources which shows jets (sometimes called a 'micro-quasar') and is a Black Hole Candidate. The source is known for its remarkable time variability. An example of the time variability is shown here. The data has been obtained with JEM-X, the X-ray instrument on-board INTEGRAL. GRS 1915+105 is currently undergoing an outburst and will be observed again on April 2 as part of the INTEGRAL core program.
